Dec 30th 2010 - single page layout

Well this is a little early I know BUT - my new years promise to myself is to scrapbook all my older pictures that I have been putting off. For me this is very hard, because for a lot of these events I only have one or two pictures. I am so use to only doing two page layouts that the thought of only doing a single page layout scares me. But no more this is the first of many pages I hope to create this year.
Materials used
Boom-Di-Ada paper CTMH
Flowers and ribbon from CTMH
splendor disgner brads CTMH
lace from the local $1 store

gorgeous layout part two

ok so I posted the first part of this layout a couple of weeks ago, and I said I would add the second side as soon as I had it completed. Well I am really sorry about the crappy pictures I just can not seem to get the right lighting to show off my art work. So the colors on the second side ARE all the same they just look washed out.
I am happy with how they turned out.
I hope you enjoy!

Dec 7th - Heart 2 Heart Challenge

So this is my first Heart 2 Heart Challenge and I hope it is ok. The rules were no Cards - you had to make up a small gift. So what I did was take a container from a $1 store purchase and turned it into a house for a animal waiting to be adopted this christmas. I even put in a little adoption certificate on the back so it can be scrapbooked with the pictures (once the child has filled it out ). This was very simple and took no time at all.

I hope you like.

ps...dont tell my daughter I borrowed one of her stuffies to see if I liked this project completed..LOL

Nov 29th - Olivia layout

This layout was created as a addition to the Olivia WOTG from Close To My Heart. I found these wonderful pictures of my daughter from 1997 and just had to use them. The glare across her face on the large picture is actually on the original picture itself, but it didnt stop me from using it.

Nov 16th - Let it snow - layout

This layout was inspired by Helen Olulak, (http://www.hookedonstamping.com/). I hope you enjoy this wonderful fun layout of my children and their winter fun!

Nov 16th Flying High - layout

This is a layout I just completed from the magic book from CTMH. I really enjoyed making this one. In each of the pockets there is a tag, the top one says hers and the bottom one says moms. These tags contain the thoughts of both of us on this day. Jayde had only been a part of Cadets for 2 1/2 weeks when she got to go gliding - it was too windy that day so they got to fly the actual plane instead. She was so excited about her half hour turn at this wonderful activity.

Sorry for the glare off the pictures but it was the best one I could get! I hope you enjoy.

Nov 2, 2010 funky Swap Layout

This was a swap layout I did for my recent Funky 12X12 layout swap. The category was adult male, I had found this great saying "Grandpas are antique little boys" and knew I wanted to use it right away. My husbands Aunt had sent us all these pictures of his dad and I wanted them to get put together so my children could enjoy them. They did not get a chance to meet Jack (their grandpa - he passed with Cancer before my husband and I got married) but it was amazing to see their reactions to the photos that look so much like their dad!

Window Treat Box!

Ok So it is another Tuesday and I was up early - There is no better way to spend that extra time then creating. I hopped on over to Project Tuesday ( http://sasprojecttuesday.blogspot.com/ ) and started to create the new challange.

This one was a little harder for me, I am known for only using Close To My Heart papers etc, I had picked this paper up about a year and a half ago thinking that I could use it for my soon to be adopted son, and just never did. This morning seeing the project it just cried out that I use it. I hope you like it.

The window is created from half or one of our containers for the CTMH brads. (I have seen this done before on cards - thank you to who ever you were for the insperation)

OK, I was waiting for my daughter to come home from her first high school dance last night so what could I do...CRAFT of course so here is what I came up with. I hope you enjoy - sorry the pics are so yellow but since the weather is bad today there really is no where to take good pictures in my house today. I really need to take another stab at a light box. Take a Breath and Blow!

I thought I would post my layout for you. I loved this stamp set Treasure D1375 when it first came out, but had never used it. Now it is in the new catty on page 52 and thought it was time to break it out. These photos just happened one day on a walk with two of my kids...who could resist!
Since posting this I have been shown yet again how bad my spelling is..but no worries the E has been successfully removed from the word BREATH.
